NYC moment

A few weeks ago I took this rather unremarkable photo of El Jefe standing somewhere on the west side. It wouldn't be worth a second glance... except that I later realized that there's a small replica of the Statue of Liberty on the roof of one of the buildings in the background. How bizarre!

I scoured the web to find the origins of this hidden NYC oddity, but found nothing. The wikipedia page dedicated to such things has no mention of it either. Any light you could shed on the issue would be greatly appreciated.
